Baby Layettes For Knox Healthy Start Program
Once again the Morning Glories and the Faith Book Club Chapter 1 are collecting items to make baby layettes for the participants of the Knox Healthy Start For Mom & Me Program. This program provides information, support, resources and advocacy for immigrant and refugee women who are pregnant or have children under one year of age. We welcome all contributions to help make this project a success and items can be placed in a box located in the narthex. All items for the layettes need to be in by Sunday March 12th. If you have any questions please call Susan Care at 204-253-4385 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Come Join Us!
This Lenten season, Pastor Chris and Deacon Kris will be leading a one hour discussion group based on the video series “NOOMA” by Rob Bell. NOOMA is a series of short films promoting spiritual reflections on individual life experiences. The name NOOMA comes from a phonetic spelling of the Greek word meaning “wind”, “spirit”, or “breath”.
Come join us this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. for the first session: Dust. What does God see in us? Believing in God is important, but what about God believing in us? It’s easy for us to sometimes get down on ourselves. To feel “not good enough” or feel like we don’t have what it takes. But maybe if we had more insight into the culture that Jesus grew up in and some of the radical things he did, we’d understand the faith that God has in all of us.
Lent Worship at Faith:
Wednesday Lenten Services—March 8th – April 5th
Soup & Bread at 5:30 pm
Drama & Holden Evening Prayer at 7 pm
This Lenten season Faith Players will be presenting “Did You Hear About?” a series written by Faith Player’s very own Mark Essenburg. These worship dramas depict the gospel stories from the people who would have
witnessed the events and shared the stories as they happened. This week hear about:
– The Temple Incident with Ken Day, Sandra Brown Day, Ruth Magnuson and Ken Schmidt.
“Worship and Music Committee would like the congregation to know it is in an ongoing process of evaluating all aspects of our sound system. We appreciate your patience.”
