2017 ELCIC National Convention Volunteers Needed

This summer Winnipeg will host our National Church Convention at the University of Manitoba July 6-8th. As the host synod, we are looking forward to welcoming around 200 delegates, visitors and guests from across Canada and around the world.

The Local Arrangements Committee is in the midst of attending to the many details, including recruiting volunteers. We have an urgent need for volunteers for the following areas: Stewards, Ushers, Information Desk, Registration, Transportation, and Office Support. 

No experience is necessary and the time commitment can be as little as a few hours. If you, or someone you know is available please let us know!

ELCIC Group Services Inc. administers pension and benefits plans that enhance the well-being of employees who serve in the ELCIC. Canadian Lutheran World Relief—Urgent Appeal for Famine in Africa From now until June 30th the Canadian Government’s Famine Relief Fund will match donations to CLWR and other members of the Humanitarian Coalition (e.g. MCC, Canadian Food Grains Bank, etc.).  The Famine Relief Fund has been established to combat famine in Nigeria, Somalia, South Sudan and Yemen. You can include this on your offering envelope and mark it CLWR Famine and we will forward your donation, or you can send directly to CLWR. Please give generously!

The Annual General Meeting of Faith Lutheran Management Corporation (Kirchhoff Gardens) is at 7pm on Monday June 26. Membership in the corporation is open to members of the congregation through completing a brief application form. AGM packages have been mailed to all members for the upcoming meeting. Please contact Carol Kurbis if you are interested in becoming a member or have not received your AGM package.

Church Opening Over The Summer Please be advised that the Church will open on Sunday mornings at 9:30am over the summer months.
