Fellowship Ministries
The Men’s Breakfast Group hosts a breakfast meeting the second Saturday of the month beginning at 8:30 am right here at Faith Lutheran Church. Breakfast commences at 8:30 am sharp and concludes usually between 9:30 – 10:00 am. All men and their friends/neighbours are invited and encouraged to attend. A breakfast is prepared each month by two of our members, followed by an invited speaker or a table topic of interest to all members. We would love to see you share in our fellowship, meal and conversation. Cost is only $5.00
The Women of Faith Bible Study Group meets the first Saturday of the month from September to June at 9:00 am (unless it is during a holiday weekend). We start with a light breakfast and then get into great discussions around the Bible Study. Our current Bible Study is “Demystifying the Proverbs 31 Woman”
If you are looking to study the Bible and hoping to meet some enchanting women for fellowship and friendship, we may be the small group you are seeking. All are Welcome!
Wednesday Fellowship is a senior’s group that meets on the first Wednesday of the month at noon for lunch, birthday cake (celebrating birthdays of the month), and Bible study. Each other Wednesday they meet at 10:00 am for ‘work days’ with much quilting, knitting strips for blankets and prayer shawls, and baptism blankets being made. Work days last until 2:00 pm with a break for lunch at noon. Members bring bag lunches and everyone takes a turn bringing a dessert for the group and making coffee and tea.
If you’re not quite a senior yet, but would like to help with this ministry, the group is always looking for donations of more materials – fabric and yarn – to use in making their creations. At the end of each year the blankets made are bagged up and donated to various missions and charities in Winnipeg and around the world.
This group of Kirchhoff Gardens residents meets on the first and third Friday of each month from 1:30-3:00 pm, at Kirchhoff Gardens. Edie Lindberg and Diane Clifford will be leading the study and will also lead Holy Communion on the first Friday of each month.
Faith Book Club Chapter 1 meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm. They meet in the Blue Room at the church from September to May taking the month of December off.
