Men’s Breakfast

The next Men’s Breakfast will be held on Saturday, October 17th at 8:30 to 10:00. All men in the congregation are invited! We will have a special “guest speaker that morning”. His name is Captain Narndra Mathur. Captain Narndra was the CEO and captain of large/huge cargo ships that were at sea for months, experienced sailing through the (controversial “Strait of Hormuz” – currently controlled by Iran). He has many stories and pictures to share. His story parallels the true story of the Captain Phillips Netflix movie, starring Tom Hanks (I suggest that everyone watch that movie before hearing his presentation).

Carried in Grief – A Community Grief Sharing Circle

Faith Lutheran Church is pleased to introduce Carried in Grief, a new community grief sharing circle offering a gentle, compassionate space for anyone navigating life after the death of someone they love.

Together, we will gather to remember, reflect, share stories, and find connection with others who understand the experience of grief. Through candle lighting, meaningful reflection, and optional sharing, we hope to create a space where grief is welcomed, love is honoured, and no one feels they have to carry their loss alone.

All are welcome, just as they are. Whether you wish to share, listen, or simply be present, there is a place for you here.

More details about upcoming gatherings will be shared soon.

Christmas Hampers

Christmas Hamper season is coming up! Our hamper committee has started purchasing the food we need to provide 27 hampers to families in our community this Christmas. If you know of a family in our community that could use a hamper this Christmas, please forward their name , address and phone number to Cathy in the office by November 2nd and we will add them to our list.

The Urban needs The Urban is looking for donations of Fall jackets, hoodies, socks and track shoes. There do not have storage space for any other items at this time. Thank you.
